How does a blind person know they're awake?

Seems like it would be a little more difficult to tell the difference between being in a dream and being in the real world. On that note, I think it would also be frustrating to go to sleep as a blind. I mean your eyes are useless and you can't tell if they're open or closed, so you don't get that great "my eyes are getting heavy" to let you know you're tired. I bet blinds fall asleep where they're sitting more often then normals. I also imagine they have dirty fingernails. Not to say they're not clean people, just that the fingernails take a little more effort, and unless you can see that they're dirty, they can be easily forgotten.
